Sorry about your disaster Vickie. It must have been hard to believe your eyes when you found it. Now maybe you will have a nice safe place for them to be with your new orchid room coming along. Don't let yourself get discouraged. Orchids are tough.

Default how awful, Ray

Oh my goodness....what terrible tragedys you have experienced with your orchids over the years, Ray. Gee, these make my accident seem like practically nothing compared to your misfortunes. I guess I'm just starting on the road to one problem after the other. I have to say, though, this fact doesn't excite me at all. lol (sorta) Oh the excitement...how I wonder what my next mishap will be!
Vicki

Good luck, and enjoy your whole orchid room, when you get it! I hope your husband doesn't mind being uprooted (No pun intended)- I am sure all of your orchid's roots will be fine. You sound like you know how to love and care for them.

Hi Vicki,

I'm sorry to hear about the damage Fay inflicted on your chids, but don't despair. I grow my chids outdoors and a few years ago a hurricane blew through while I was on vacation. When I returned I found my babies all over the yard and a few under the car. They had all been dumped, tossed around, and very well watered by the storm. I managed to find and repot all of the chids minus their I.D. tags which were lost forever. To make a long story short, they all made an amazing recovery and some of my non-bloomers produced their very first blooms within the following few months.

Hang in there. Many times there is a rainbow after the storm.
