Just a question Susanne, once (presuming we get one) such a list is generated, can we make it a sticky?

There are lots of posts discussing this subject
Well, that was a fun trip. Was this a link that I was supposed to click on? I did that and it took me back to the forum menu with the title to this thread. Thought I did something weird so tried it two more times (OK, so I'm gullible ) with the same result.

Yeah, me too. That's why my response. If Sue meant a search was in order, maybe that should have been specified?

I will make it a sticky if we actually put together a "list" and not an ongoing thread.

Any suggestions and/or information can be added to a new thread to be started specifically for orchids that need (or should get) a winter rest. Then "somebody" with Forum Sponsor status (only sponsors can open and close their own threads) can keep a closed sticky thread into which the information can be listed. It would be simple enough to do just by using copy-and-paste

When I click on that link, I get the "winter, rest" search results I found earlier. Is the link bringing you to the main forum or to that search?

The page should show "Search Results" and be 12 pages long.

Enough said I agree. I would agree to do this job if it gets to that point, since I suggested the sticky. I'll be following this thread, obviously, with much interest. If something developes, I will agree to develope the list if you (or one of the other mods) will make it sticky.

Is there a way to make a "draft message" like a draft e-mail?

Sounds like a plan!

Thanks Ross

Would you like me to start a new thread specifically asking folks to add their suggestions? From there, you can start a thread and "close" it so you (or any of the mods) are the only one able to add to it? I find it is a much better way to keep lists organized in a forum. Once we get started, I will make it a "sticky"

However you think best. I will collect the posts people have made so far and in the future. However this is best done is fine by me. I'll just copy and paste to a Word document till we are pretty much settled, then we can make such a post? For now (this is a pretty new post) can we collect them here? And just bump this till we get some better action?

Just tried it again to see if I got where I think I ended up and it gave the same result. I found myself at the opening forum menu. "Orchids that need winter rest" followed by the whole varied menu of "...missing flowers", see my photos, beginning questions, advanced discussions...same menu you get directed to when you log in. Nothing about "winter, rest" search results. It was, indeed, the "regular" forum menu.
