Can Vandofinetia blaupunkt be mounted on bark? Female
Default Can Vandofinetia blaupunkt be mounted on bark?

OK, here's a question for all you orchid experts.
I have a Vandofinetia blaupunkt which has outgrown the pot it came in. It is not in bloom but has many healthy roots. Vandaceous orchids are often seen in hanging baskets. Can they be mounted? I get the feeling my plant wants its roots in the air. I wired it to a large piece of bark just to try it.

Will this be good for the orchid? It is hanging in a sunny window (west)
Thanks!
