Phal is yellow, keiki is okay
Well, let me tell you the whole story. It all started when I saw this gorgeous white phal in April. So, I bought it. When I took it home, the pot fell and the stem snapped. No problem. I repotted with some leftover bark that was outside. Big problem. Then I had thrips. Accidentally left alcohol soaking in the crown. Long story shorter, crown rot led to the new growth out of the center being cut and treated. No signs of growth until a few weeks ago when I noticed a small basal keiki. The keiki is about the size of my thumbnail. Today, the mother phal is all yellow (wasn't yesterday). I want to leave it alone and let the mother phal die, but I just want to make sure that the keiki won't die. Will it be okay?
