Wow, what a really nice thing for your friend to do.
It must have been hard enough having his home pulled out from under him but to have to give up his orchids too was like rubbing salt into the wound. Maybe when he gets settled you can return some of them.

Meanwhile, the plants look to be in pretty good shape. Some house cleaning and TLC will bring them around quickly. My, oh my, all those phals, I'd have a field day with them!!!

Just let us know if we can be of help in anyway, and .

Ohe MEche congratulations, and welcome to the OB! they are all Dends and Phals which are fairly easy to take care of, oh you are in for a treat next spring!!!!!

Can't wit to see them all bloom for you...

I think about the person who left this plants... I can't imagine throw away my plants.... my orchids are like my family.... That break my heart....

I agree with Royal, there is at least one Oncidium in the bunch. Look at the posts on watering fertilizing and light requirements for advice. Remember more orchids are killed by overwatering than most other things "he said from experience" the roots rot if kept too wet.
