THE ROOTS GROWING UP

I have many Cyrtochilum Macranthum, with lovely yellow flowers.... but the new roots (white whit green) of one of them are growing up to the sky (this plant has no flowers)... I think the plant is a litlle crazy... That's OK?? I try to force the roots down but they break ... How can I do that operation without breaking the roots... The plant need a bigger pot??? Another plant of the same specie has two spikes with flowers but the roots are growing down...

I think it's No Big Deal. As my Chids have roots growing all over too!! They want AIR!! And they get it that way Don't force them, just leave them. I do, and all is great with them!

man those are very healthy looking where can I get one of those ROOTSDOWN2 ?

sometimes it might be a sign that the roots in the pot are in bad shape. but i think you're plant looks really healthy. i guess it wouldn't hurt to check.

I leave them.... it's like democracy: they can do what they need .... there are plants and plants... the another Cyrtochillum has flowers and roots in the right position...

JAJAJAJA .... and the flowers are very strong and last 2 months.... I don't know where can you get a Cyrtochilum Macranthum in the USA... try www.ecuagenera.com... I get that plant in a trip to the rain forest here in my country... if you come to Ecuador I can get you one ...
In about 1 month I can take pictures of the flowers...its spectacular!!!!

I think the pot is too short... but another plants-roots grow in circles like cymbidium ... I'll check the plant... and the roots...
