Whoa. Wild Orchid, I really thought your comment was a joke about Kat watching. This is way too nasty. If one does not like a board, just don't visit. No need to spread poison.

Peace, everyone. Fighting takes too much negative energy!

Both boards are EXCELLENT!

I agree, Leafmite. But that's why.....so many of us are here. If you noticed the OG numbers are steadily declining. Let them enjoy their "rules".

What a load of crap!

Sorry you didn't get your way over there but it really is inappropriate to bring it to another forum. Or, don't you get that?

BTW -- if you have a problem w/the rules somewhere...attempts at killing the messenger won't make one bit of difference. Remember...the messenger is just that...the messenger.

I suggest you forget about it and move on...it's really not worth all the energy you seem to be giving it.

Now the true colors are coming out. See what I mean? LOVE the colorful language of the "Messenger"!

Sure, would love to move on and did - long time ago.

Okay, what rules? I admit, I often do find myself wallowing around in the dark. I probably have completely missed things.
My main focus on these forums is learning about orchids and helping others enjoy growing them. You see, I have been into plants since I was very little. It is great to see others discover the joy of growing plants (in this case, orchids). My hobby is part of who I am. I love walking into the home of a new friend and discovering...they grow plants!!!! I like going to conservatories or gardens and identifying all the plants (sometimes very quietly correcting the guides as to the identity). I love walking through a woodlands and identifying the trees, shrubs and native plants. I know the common invasive plant species in the area. I read histories of spices and herbs. I know the uses/properties of the herbs I grow. I am...a plant-nut. Completely. Plants make me happy. I always am hoping that others will find happiness in life, something that will keep them smiling even when times are tough...that is why I like helping others with orchids.

Wild Orchid, I am very sorry you were offended in the past. I hope you know that I bear you no ill-will. I am just glad you are still growing orchids. It is a fun hobby. Someone gave me two because of all my other plants and now I have over fifty, despite trying desperately to keep the number to fifty!
Hope to hear from you on this forum (but not arguing with the other geeks of course) and see pictures of what you have growing.

If you check the join dates of the ones you obviously have no respect for you will see you are a newest member of Orchid Board Forum rules and playing nice are both hard.

Yep...the "true colors" sure are showing.

Need I remind you...you offended someone...you were reprimanded and your comments were removed (not by me, I might add). You didn't like it...you basically took your toys and left. Fine...you didn't like the rules...you moved on...no problem. That was the end of it. I knew who you were over here but as far as I was concerned it had nothing to do w/this forum so there would be no reason to drag it over here. I never said a word to you...I left you alone. Perhaps, you should do the same and leave me alone, no?

Whatever happened at OG should stay at OG.

Start new, shed your OG persona and become an Orchidboarder when at OB. Be a Geek when over there.

There are many reasons why we frequent one board over another. There are differences in people and boards, respect that.

If mods there would be so civil, half of the OG wouldn't be here after a nasty management treatment, their posts deleted, them being banned to discuss the issue publicly, etc, etc.

Enough said.
Whiskey tango foxtrot?!?

You really think that I, or anyone else, writes comments, of whatever type, to get freebies from moderators? You think moderators need validation so badly that they would resort to this?

That's just plain sad. Please get yourself some help.

And yes, after reading a few of your posts, I now know who you are as well.

The moderators are unpaid volunteers that do something that is occasionally difficult and thankless: reminding folks of rules, enforcing them when needed, getting into the middle of disputes when they have to. I have volunteered for other causes where there are rules that must be enforced, and there are always people that feel like the rules, in plain writing, should not apply to them. The OG moderators do not deserve this treatment and the members of Orchid Board don't need to be subjected to these arguments.
