Nancy, I don't know what you are referring to with your comment "you cheaters", but you will notice that Jim Blanford posted the notice that Orchid Geeks was back up and running on 8-15.

I cannot log on to Orchid Geeks this morning (8-17) and even when it was 'up' there were still a lot of problems. I doubt that the forum will be completely working until the owner returns.

Meanwhile, everyone here has welcomed Orchid Geek members with open arms until the forum is up and working again.

I have never had a problem with the Dawn dishsoap on my plants. I usually use the old formula (the blue), but I also used the others with super degreasers with no problems. With the concentrated ones I just use a bit less. I have used the Dawn on the plants for approx. 2 years.

I haven't any news to share regarding Orchid Geeks, the server has always been a bit unreliable. I'm sure someone is working on it. Meanwhile, enjoy your time here. This is a friendly bunch of people, ready to help, learn and have some fun too.

Hello, another orchidgeek here. I go by heraon the web forums. Its nice to be in good company and its nice to see other forum members are here as well. I have been lurking for awhile so I feel like I know most of you already. I'll post an intro. Thanks for welcoming us.

HI it is so nice to see that for a change there is one forum where the moderator, senior members are not fretting with anger when there is talk of another board.
I have learned a lot from this board and it is refreshing to know that the members here are open minded and tolerant.

Thanks ice, the vast majority of the folks here just enjoy discussing our mass addiction and can't be bothered by some of the craziness we see on other forums (on all subjects, not just orchids

).
