Default New polyrriza lindenii arrived

I, am hoping to keep this guy alive, but it is so increadably small. I'm talking 1/3 the size of a dime,is this normal or did I purchase the world's tiniest plant? I have it in a glass container with water in the bottom. The top is covered and the light should be good. Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

I bought one that small, and really regret it. I ended up dumping it, cause it never grew. I don't want to be a bad omen, but really small ghost orchids tend to stall in trying to adjust to your growing envirnonment. These are not beginner orchids, by any means.

I have a friend that bought one that tiny last week. Well wish yours does a lot better than hers. Her baby is in orchid heaven at this moment. GOOD LUCK.

1/3 the sizee of a dime? That's amazing. I just bought mine in a flask. There were only 3 in there but compared to these you guys are talking about mine is huge. I can't belive someone actually charges for one that small. Unless you were warned first. Either way Good Luck!!

That was sort of my point. Buyer beware. I try to alert hobbyists I run into of the problems buying stuff too small for the size it should be. Then I walked into a similar situation. A good vendor, but really too small a plant to be on its own. It died.

Swamper,
Who did you buy yours from? I have Dendrophylax fawcetti and now funalis, but I would love to get my hands on lindenii. I think I will need to get 'em in a flask so I can avoid the phytosanitary certificate. I checked with Mick Fournier but he charges crazy rates for full flasks (I only need a few plants!) and wont ship to Hawaii.

Sorry!

I got it from Ruben In Orchids. I know he's out right now but he will have some more in a few months. He only sells quality stuff so he probably has some now but wont sell yet cause they are TOO SMALL. He also was highly recommended, their website which you guys probably knew before me is Ruben In Orchids. Real nice people I met both he and his wife, real straight up.
P.S. I dont know about any Hawaii restrictions and I know Hawaii ships here all the time so I dont see any problem. Well...one problem....why am I not in Hawaii???relaxing ahhhhhhhh
