Oncidium plant media
I have 2 Oncidiums that seem to be doing well as each has new bulbs growing. However I notice that it seems that when new roots develop, they tend to dry out.
I would like to encourage better root development so I was thinking that maybe changing the media would help prevent the drying out. They are planted in a standard bark mixture. Do you think that I should either mix sphagnum with the bark or place a layer of sphagnum on top of the bark to help retain moisture? Does anybody have a better idea?
Thanks.
