Default Rain and tap water question.

Is there any advantage to mixing rain with tap water? Which MSU formula would I use? I have both....for pure water and tap water. I'm getting a little skinny on rain water right now.

I have done this before int he past but it was always in the winter time when I rarely fertilize anything so I did not have to worry much about it.

If you need to add fertilizer though I would think the tap water version would be best since it is no longer "pure" water.

Erm, I use a Brita water filter and let it warm to room temp. I've also used tap, but my cymb. are kinda resiliant.

Rain water in most areas is pretty soft (lacking nutrients (except, perhaps Nitrogen if a thunderstorm is present). Tap water could be anyone's guess. If well water, you can can only guess unless you have an analysis done (not cheap) but most municipalities will tell you the analysis of the city water. Mixing is fine. As for how to blend fertilizer, that gets more complex and I just avoid the issue by using straight RO water.
