New Flower Spikes
Default New Flower Spikes

My dendrobium has started two flower spikes, this will be the first flowers I have seen from this plant!

My little Phal is growing a new spike too, it flowered a few months ago, I'm looking forward to the new additions.

Hi Tim, I have a den that I've had for over a year. I don't even remember the flowers. Well it finally developed a spike, and now this morning I find another spike. I can't believe it. I can't wait to see the flowers.

Congrats!

Way to go, Tim. That phal looks awesome. Is it growing outside?

Hi Tuvoc(Kim),

Yes I have my orchids outside. I live in Cocoa Beach, Fla & I keep tyhem under a Shefflera tree on the northwest side of the house, I use bark as a medium, I also have the dend, cymbidiums, oncidiums and several other phals.

Hi Leslie2934,

I'm am anxcious for the dend too, it will be the first flowers it has produced for me.

Hi Lene Th.,

That phal sure seems to be happy! It started as a kieke from another plant. I am thinking of cutting off the bottum of the terracota pot & repotting the whole thing when the time comes so as not to disturb the roots, they have firmly attached themselves.
