You want to always make sure there is no water collecting in the crown...This causes rot. Roots look pretty good

Is it possible the leaf turning black could have gotten to much sun? If it gets any worse I would cut it off and dust the cut with cinnamon to kill anything nasty.

Like Sheridan, I think that leaf is a "goner", but I'm not so sure it's sunburn. If that top surface is getting soft and squishy (a technical term) compared to the others, cut off that entire leaf immediately, as it's an infection that can spread to the whole plant. If it's not, and Sheridan is right, don't worry about it, it will turn parchment-like shortly.

Hi laopi. Your phal looks pretty good to me. I also think that leaf may be a bit sun burned. You can get cinnamon at any super market spice section. It's the same stuff you make cookies and cakes with.

ha, I'm a Chinese, 'Lao' means 'old', 'Pi' peter in short, laopi means 'old peter', just found a nickname which is not as popular as peter.
