Question Mature orchid question

Do orchids ever get too old to bloom? I am considering a muture orchid for purchase from a well known nursery in Florida known for their Phals. (In fact, one of their crosses is said to be the most famous ever) The plant is 7 years old and has been used as a parent. I doubt they would pawn off a non-productive plant, but one never knows until they ask. The pics look great, but I still look okay in pics, too....

No.

In fact, in phals, more maturity usually equates with better, bigger, and longer-lasting blooms.

Of course, it depends a lot on the culture...

I bet I know where you are talking about! I was just looking at a picture of a phal the other day in full bloom that was 45 years old! For the life of me I can't recall where I saw the pic but if I remember I'll post the link.
