My husbound got a bit afraid the other day, when i asked him if there was sendt out a warning about flooding in our aerea...?
Becourse we where away, and one of my chids, a phal, was hanging outside, and i was afraid it could get crown-rot if the water could reach it under the tree... and i was really upset by the thought of this happening to one of my favourite phals!
I got a bit afraid my self, when i discovered that it was just a dream...

OK, now. Let's get this correct: Orchids come first, then comes flood damage So husband has to make shelves or hanging display under trees out of flood waters. What's more important: orchids or family possessions Orchids!

In Norway, a flood means water running down the streets, but not as badly as it can get in other aereas, it usually doesnt do that mutch damage.
But if the water reached my chids hanging in the three, then it would mean dissaster...
Mabe it is becourse i just lost one of my favourite phals to crown-rot... It was so traumatising that it made nightmares come to live...

I know exactly how you all feel And yes, I do rearrange my orchids, trying to make room for more Almost every surface in my room (still live with my traditional parents) has an orchid. There hasn't been a day that I don't log onto the OB (at least twice) since I joined. I have a bookmark folder for orchid-related websites. My eBay watch list always has a list of orchids. Whenever I have "extra" money I buy more orchids. Today I was at the HD running some errands and I almost bought more orchids (something I swore never to do), but the thought of getting better quality orchids saved me

I'm not sure if this is the correct thread to ask these 2 questions I've wondered about recently..but the title here is NOID..and somehow "we" travel down several paths..so here goes: What is a moth orchid? sometimes I look at my 2 new phals and think they remind me of a large moth..they are very similar..but for color; and...as if I'm not confused enough...what is a den phal? or is it a phal den? and how does it differ from a phal and a den? Crazy question? Thanks for helping this newbie understand...Eileen
