To prune or not to prune

I am not new to orchids, just clueless. I have had this nice phalaenopsis for about 5 years now, and it has often bloomed for me. But about three weeks ago I had a large bottom leaf completely yellow and I tugged it off, came off real easy, around the same time all these new roots started (above the yellowing leaf).

In the photo you can see a couple really sad looking roots, should I just snip them off? If so which ones?

The leaf just fell off due to the new roots growing, happens to mine, It's normal.
Those dark roots just look like the older roots to me, Not mushy in the photo, leave them - they are still working to help take up water and fertilisers.
Your phal looks great to me.

Those look like healthy roots to me, Keith! Don't worry about them -- that's the nature of Phals, but maybe when it's time to repot, you can set it a little lower in the medium and bury some of them.

Thanks, I actually repotted recently as well as moved, so I was worried I stressed the plant, new location, new pot, new medium.
