Ah - a good thing for orchids, I'm guessing. Not so much for the amphibians, hehe.
(Although, in a tank, it would be the critters producing the ammonia in thier waste...I don't think there's a measurable amount in plain ol' tap water, is there?)
I don't think it really removes the chloramine, more so it breaks the bond between the chlorine and ammonia. The chlorine dissipates and the ammonia is removed by tank filtering media (in an aquaria application), so it should still be available to the plants.
Does anyone know what effects chloramine will have on orchids?
