Thumbs down troubles with online chid purchase

Hi Cookiemonster, what bad luck!

I'm new to the forum and everyone else has great ideas about repair suggestions, but I DO have lots of experience on eBay. If that's where you purchased your chid, taking the easy approach at first is always best. Send photos, explain the situation and question whether the seller will give a refund--and whether you should send the plant back, and of course specify that the seller should pay the shipping. The bigger problem is how your other plants may be affected.
Hold your fire! Most sellers are reputable, but if on eBay (or another organized site), this seller will be seriously concerned about the possibility of getting a neg feedback from you, and may be more accommodating than you expect.

The seller I bought my Sharry Baby 'Sweet Fragrance' compot was really undertsanding. They gave me full refund. They checked other compots that were on the same shelf as the one shipped to me but they didn't find worms in them. Just one of those strokes of bad luck, I guess. I will still buy from them in the future because they had good customer service and I haven't had problems with other orchids I've bought from them.

Well I contacted the seller as I mentioned earlier with my dissatisfaction with the insect problem and I was refunded for the plant with the insects. I think they are genuinely honest sellers who well- had something go wrong, I would probably order from them in the future if its bare-root.
I think the most important thing for an orchid vendor is to recognize the value of quality customer service- even if they make a mistake its reassuring to know they'll take responsibility for it and keep you interested in coming back in the future

That's how I feel about the seller I bought from. These things can happen to anyone and orchid sellers aren't immune to pests.
