Default can someone tell me what's wrong, please?

Hi,
I have a Catt that I bought about 5 weeks ago..in bloom, but it's now apparently sick because what was then healthy-looking green is now brown spotted. I haven't learn the orchid plant parts yet, so I don't know what the areas I'm concerned about are called. I have attached photos with arrows pointing to them...so if you don't mind helping me, please, I would appreciate it if any of you can tell me what you think the problem is.
Vicki

Dont worry about that. Its totally normal. The brown part around the bulb (pseudobulb or p-bulb) can and should be peeled back. If you get it wet, its even easier to do. The brown part where the flowers are (called the sheath) can simply be cut away when the flowers die. Other than that, the plant looks good, but could maybe use a smidge more water. Your p-bulbs look somewhat shriveled, but not excessively so.

Yup, the brown part is just the sheath and from what I've read you can either cut it away or leave it there (but it doesn't look that nice in my opinion). Leaving it there might however provide a nice haven for insects or bugs in the future though.

Default thank you!

Thank you for your reply...I was so sure that something was wrong...but since I know very little about Orchid problems yet, I was upset because of the color change...so thanks againl

Everything looks pretty normal. IMHO. And you have a very nice looking blossom.
