Thank you for your email. In all the books i've looked at or viewed online, they all suggest a 10-15 degree temp drop at nite, for the mottled type. I also realized that when i went to water the phaph, remember i said it was in a tall pot, which i didn't like too much! WHen i went to lift the orchid just the top came out, so the pot the orchid is really in is really 4-5 inches tall. Which fits over the tall pot. I had never seen one like that! I kept it out and put the phaph on top of a saucer filled with moistened gravel for humidity. I am also keeping my oncidium and cymbidium outside now. I have a covered balcony. South west exposure, which is afternoon sun. I don't give the oncidium direct sunlight. I do give the cymb the sun but watch for burns. If anyone has any other ideas for me about this, please let me know! I'ii be waiting and watching

. Thanks!!!
