Hello Nicole, I am sorry your phal lost its leaves

Personally I would repot and check for root rot, from the pic it looks like is potted in soil and bark? If so, lose the soil and only repot in bark and as the others said, cut back all mushy and black roots, if you lost a considerable % of the root mass consider soaking in a KLN solution to boost the root growth. Definately cut the flower spike all the way to the base of the phal, since this takes a lot of energy from it, and just put it in a warm shady, humid place so it can focus on regrowing its leaves.

You can always put those beautiful blooms in a vase and enjoy them just as long as you would if they were still on the plant.

Just my 2 cents, hope it recovers, keep us posted.

It may not be a total gonner. If the roots are OK and the medium is still good I would just play the waiting game. As Cam pointed out many Phals will grow a basal Keiki if the root system is still intact. If the crown isn't totally fried it may grow new leaves from there. Put it in a warm spot with lower light and leave it alone for awhile.

Ooops, agree with Priz, cut the spike off.

Been there, done that...several times actually
I killed several inicent phals by watering too mutch/too little, and after many years, i decided to give orchids a final try...
This was in october last year.
Now i have 15 chids, five in bloom, and one of these in my care, finally!

Dont give up on chids, if this one gives up on you...
