I think the light meter is a great idea. Maybe other forum members will suggest one they use. I can search the inernet too.

I have used cheaper ones in the past, but they were way off in the readings and actually difficult to get a useful reading. I now use Light Meters, 840006,840020,21,22 I have the 840020 lux/FC. Well worth the price if you need amount of light measured. I beleave there is one for sale in the Orchid Board classifieds http://www.orchidboard.com/community...p?do=ad&id=213 This looks like it will do just fine.

Thanks Ross! When you use the light meter...where do you point it? The base, leaf...flower? As you can see...I am ultra beginner but want to do the right thing! Thank you!

Wow, it looks much happier there! It just glows and the early morning sun won't hurt it a bit.

If the leaves are wrinkled it might be a good idea to check the roots for root rot.

If you need more help with that let us know.
