No, I haven't encountered this, at least not that I'm aware of. However, I don't use it on a regular basis, only for new plants that seem to be struggling. Perhaps it isn't a good idea for a fertilizer.

Default Sugar Try

Hi Shirley! I tried it. I put 2 tsp in 2 gallons of water. Let's see what happens. Another poster said that she put rice washing and meat washing and fish washing water on orchids and they love it!! And so, when I boiled my hotdogs today, I saved the water and dumped that in too!



I will keep you posted as to what happens.

you have to be carefull if the water contains salt. as in boiled hotdogs

Cool You're right!!

Snow, you're right! I didn't think of that!! Oh no, what have I done now! At least I diluted with more than double the amount of regular water. I probably put 1 quart in a 2 gallon water solution. I hope it will be ok.

Highly processed foods like hot dogs have chemicals and nitrates in them, not as good as unprocessed like a potato or rice. Using it once probably won't do much harm.
