Default new orchid

i just got a brassavola little stars that is mounted. is there any special requirements for this orchid? i think there is a sheath. see the pic

Looks nice! Sometimes those will flower, sometimes they won't. If I remember, mine will put on all the new growths (sheaths included) but will not push spikes up until winter time.

It can take a little more light than it seems like it's getting. They like high light.

that was just a temporary spot for the picture. i moved it outside where it gets good light

Sounds like it's growing happy. Hopefully you'll be rewarded with some blooms! I don't have a brassavola, but I want one!

OK... so I want a lot of different Orchids!

i want more orchids too. once you're bit by the orchid bug they seem to follow you home alot! don't they?
