Phal bud is dying

I bought my new Phal this past Sunday and the new bud is dying. I checked the roots and they look beautiful. The leaves are nice and hard and a good color green and stand up proud. All of the other flowers look great, I just don't know what I am doing wrong. Can someone help?

It may be that you aren't doing anything wrong. Sometimes phal buds just blast! I have had several phals with lots of buds in a GH looking just wonderful and one day I go into the GH and find a random bud here or there that has yellowed as in your pic and well.... I have read that changes in temp or drafts or a change in growing conditions or ??? can cause this to happen. So your plant looks great otherwise so enjoy the flowers you have and just try to think, "Is there anything 'strange' that might have happened to cause this situation?" Chances are you won't so don't lose any sleep over it because as long as you provide good care, it will flower again!

As Biker said - Bud blast can be due to environmental changes .. it is just adapting .. you have done nothing wrong but change where they were (where ever you purchased it) to where it is now .. Enjoy your phal

Transportation, to the store, home from the store, etc, can cause buds to drop like this. As the others said, you're not doing anything wrong.
