Default phal in baskets

what potting medium should be used to pot a phal in a slatted teak basket?

When I've potted in these I used large-chunk bark and it worked quite well.

If you use sphagnum moss don't compact it around the roots to tightly. Use a wooden siska bob in the center to aid in checking the moisture of the sphag so that you don't bogg down the shag and cause root rot. I had my Phal in chc, perlite and bark mix, it did fine (actually growing roots). I've recently which it over to semi-hydro culture to try it out to encourage more root growth and a new strike for this fall and to avoid overwatering it everyday.
