Online search tips?

This is a very simple question and frankly I feel quite dumb even asking it. I thought about just sending a pm to Dorothy but then thought that others may benefit from this question being asked as well. I seem to never have any luck looking up anything online. Is there any tips on finding a hybrids parentage? A certain website? Or do you just go to google, type in the hybrids name and see what it brings up? See, I told you it was a stupid question! But I'm always amazed at how some people can find certain info and hours later I am still searching. TIA!
