New Orchid (Maybe) help
Question New Orchid (Maybe) help

I have had orchids now for about a year. My first one died ( ) but have gain some wisdom and have kept the other two alive. But I think that a new orchid is growing on the stalk. I am pretty sure it is but what do I do with it now. I have no idea. Any answers would be helpful.

Thanks

First off, some pics would be helpful to be able to provide the best direction to take. If it is a keiki, you have to allow it to grow some roots before your remove it...some say 3 roots 3" long

Not sure where you posted the pic but I can't see any link or pic....???????? But, yes it sounds like you have a keiki and allow it to get more roots and you can cut it with a sterile blade from the stem and start it on it's own...maybe a couple of months depending on your growing conditions
