Mold with sphag and bag? Female
Default Mold with sphag and bag?

About three days ago, I started using the sphag and bag technique on a rescued phalaenopsis with completely rotten roots. I just checked on it, and there's white, fuzzy mold growing on the root! Is this normal?
I should mention, I had rinsed the root with hydrogen peroxide and sprinkled it in cinnamon before I placed it into the bag.

I had the same problem and sprayed in some diluted Physan-20 and fuzz gone next day. May be coming back however.
