Default A small kind of growht on phal, spike?

This growht is not like anything ive seen before, maby someone here knows what it is? Its in the beginning of the older leaf, somewhere in the middle of the pic.
Sorry for the bad pic, this thing is still quite small, and has been that way for quite a time...

May this be a spike beginning? The other spikes ive had, does not seem to grow out of this kind of small protecting "ring"...

It's indistinguishable at this time
It's a nubbin
A spike is highly possible.

Yep, have to agree that's to soon to tell.
If you can turn the plant so the nubbin gets a bit more light it might help to get it going....guess that depends on where you are growing the plant!

Keep us posted!! Keiki's are fun!

Actually, i had to move all the chids to a bit more shady place today...
Now when the sun here is getting stronger, and last longer, the phals were getting a bit yellowish on the leafs, so i asumed they where getting too much light/sun.
I have my chids in two different places, this one standing in a west facing window along with some others, and the rest standing on a table not far from the same window. The other plants are looking fine, and seems to get enough light as well, so now are all of the plants on the same table.
I didnt like to move them, especially since one of them have several buds right now, but the color of the leafs doesent seem to give me any choise...
The sun is quite bright several hours a day thru this window... and they seemed fine up till now. But now the summer is arriving, and its brighter longer than it was a few weeks ago.

Could i move the plant back og forth from this window, making sure its not there when the sun is on its brigthest? Or will this only "confuse" the phal...?
(Unfortently, shade on the window is not possible...)
