Smile help me bring this Reed-stem epidendrums to life!!

hi my name is jeanette and i live clearwater florida i have found two which i believe is the Reed-stem epidendrums, i have no idea what to do which it could you help me out bring it back to lif. i never had orchid before, i am very new at this but i'mn very interested to learn about orchid. i have attached some picture. please help me out[ATTACH]Help me bring this Reed-stem epidendrums to life!!-flower2-jpg[/ATTACH]

Hi Littlebrat, I think it may need some fertilizer. But I think this post should be moved to a more appropriate forum so you will get more help. I will ask a Moderator

Hi Littlebrat
I have the same epi and what I did was cut out all the dead plants and potted it in a pot with some good dirt. I put some Osmocot (?) fertilizer in it and watered. They get a lot of sun here and they look very happy.

These epidendrums are absolutely kill proof and you have nothing to worry about. You can leave it outside and water and fertilize it as it is or if you want a tidier plant, you can actually cut all of the good growths out getting as many roots as you can and repotting into a smaller pot with good draining media. Again, I love these-they keiki and send out new roots all of the time. A little superthrive would help.
