How cool are you? Wow! That's so awesome! You've got a great resource living right there. I'd suggest setting up a little potting station (think card table & folding chair) and have her show you how it's done. Get the medium and soak as Kiki said. Then you two can repot a couple each day. I'm sure she would love getting her hands dirty again.
