I have rescued? a Phal with a few good roots, but no leaves. Is there any chance to save it? I have repotted it in bark, and mist it daily. Any help?

My neighbor asked me to water her plants for her while she is on a trip. I found this little guy under an eave outside, pretty much abandoned. I felt sorry for it, and brought it home. I have tried to revive phals with just roots before with no luck, so I was hoping that someone else here might have some tips for me?

Someone just told me in the chat room, I think it was Dennis, to put a bag over it and wait about 2 months. So, I put a bag over it. Any other suggestions?

Cross your fingers and pray ALOT.
Maybe the little plant has the will to survive. ONLY TIME WILL TELL.

Keep it out of direct sun also. I tear a hole in the top of the bag for air circulation, and make it a little easier to water, without removing the bag. Keep it warm, humid, and cross your fingers, or whatever else you cross! Good luck!

Some of that depends upon whether the crown rotted, or the unhappy plant just shed its leaves.
If the former (and the crown will be dark mush) but the roots are good, AND it's got the genes to produce a basal keiki, you might be in luck. I'd dunk the crown in a decent fungicide or even in cinnamon and then hope.
If there's no sign of crown rot, and it was simply a very unhappy plant, you may well find it will send a new leaf out of the existing crown. I've had a couple do that, even without the bag treatment (I usually use the bag to regrow roots rather than crown or keiki).
