Default What is this and how do I make it happy/bloom?

Someone was giving away an orchid and of course I couldn’t refuse. It’s been growing on the shelves with lights but even with the shower curtain around the shelves I couldn’t get the humidity above like 40% on average.

Any idea what kind of orchid it is? It does seem to be doing fine I. Terms of putting out new growth and roots. I’m not sure about the leaf tip yellowing

It's an Oncidium, probably a hybrid. They like to be continually moist, not wet and not dry. They don't mind household humidity and temperatures. The pot is too small.

Have a look at what I wrote in this thread. The plant mentioned is in the same group:
Brown pseudobulbs on Cyrtochilum meirax

Thank you! it's sitting in lava rock (because i had it, and was out of other stuff). So should be ok for humidity and temps then even up in WA state, right? Does it need anything in particular to bloom (idk like the temp drop for the phals)

Household humidity and temperatures are fine for these. You're going to have a hard time keeping it watered in lava rock unless you water frequently. They need to stay moist. They don't need special treatment to flower.
