Unfortunately, the first two orchids went to orchid heaven. The third orchid seems to be holding on a bit better, but it did lose a bottom leaf. There are no signs of new growth, besides a little bit of white fuzzy mold, which I've been treating with Physan 20. I have the orchid water meter so I only water it when the light blinks yellow, indicating that it's mostly dry. I use the recommended amount of orchid food diluted in tepid filtered water. Yesterday I received the rooting hormone I ordered, so I'll start including that in my routine.
I really hope the third orchid survives. It is a bit yellow close to the crown, but it hasn't spread. If it does give up, at least I tried and I've learned a lot about taking care of orchids. I will definitely use my new knowledge for future orchids I may own. I already won one on ebay and can't wait to receive it.

I am terribly sorry for your loss, you did everything you could for the ‘chids I hope the third one recovers, I almost lost a phal to root rot, but instead of repotting it I sphag-n-bagged it, and almost 3 months later it grew a healthy root system and a new leaf (it lost 3 BTW), and it only had one viable root when I put it in the bag, maybe that technique can help your phally develop mew roots quicker . Just my
The most comprehensive and effective (in my personal experience) sphag-n-bag instructions can be found on Ray’s site at Sphag-n-Bag
Hope this helps

I guess that's what I'll have to do to the third orchid and the one I had at my original office, which suffered from the atmosphere change. Should I soak it in rooting hormone before I sphag-and-bag it?

R.I.P.
Unfortunately, all three orchids I tried to rescue died. So did my beautiful Phal. Join Angel
But I won't give up. I really fell in love with orchids and enjoyed taking care of them. I already bought 2 more orchids on eBay, a Phal. Mini Mark 'Holm' and a Phal. Stuartiana. I received the Miin Mark 'Holm', which is really cute and blooming size. I can't wait for it to grow spikes and bloom. I'm anxiously waiting for the Stuartiana

LOL we must be on the same wavelength. I just ordered a Mini Mark yesterday. I think you'll find it's much more rewarding to start with a healthy plant.

Sorry to hear that, having lost a phal recently I can truly say I feel your pain, and I'm pretty sure all of us at OB has gone through something similar.
Yes! not giving up is the key and I'm sure you'll become a great grower. BTW don't lose that orchid hero spirit, eventually one of your rescues will beat the odds.
Keep us posted!
