Default cattleya eudora information

i have been given a Cattleya which is quite well established. i was told it is a good flowering orchid and has white flowers. the tag is Bc Eudora with a date 07, which might be 2007. i can't find any information on this name, and was hoping someone might know it. if the 07 does relate to the date, the name might be changed by now.
i am a beginner with Cattleya, most of my collection is Australian natives, so any help will be appreciated.

Welcome to the Orchid Board!

I look up hybrids on orchidroots.com. Some generic names in the Cattleya alliance have been changed over the years. In this case there is a Cattleya (C.) Eudora, registered in 1896, which never would have been called Brassocattleya (Bc.) Eudora. There are two different hybrids now registered as Rhyncholaeliocattleya (Rlc.) Eudora, one of which would have been registered as Brassolaeliocattleya (Blc.) Eudora (registered 1933). The other would have been registered as Brassocattleya (Bc.) Eudora in 1925. But their ancestry is so similar it might be difficult to tell them apart side by side.

I suspect the "07" means something else. Maybe when the division was made? When the cross was remade? I hope it wasn't the last repotting. I don't know.

I would suspect you have what is now Rlc. Eudora, formerly Bc. Eudora, registered in 1925. Unfortunately none of the above 3 hybrids has photos on orchidroots.com .
