Also, to refer to watering, i have a rain collector; all my orchids and quite a few other tropicals are watered only from it; no tap water ever.

I would of preffered to water all of my plants with it, but alas, the tank is not that big. And needs repairing; it will suffice for my pots, but not gardens all year long.

Sadly, i am not that good at id's and genetics and what not; my knowlage on the subject is quite rudementary.
Alas, the orchid came labeled, but i have no clue on the precision of it.

Oooohh, a cross of two classic Zygos! Z. Artur Elle x Z. B. G White. So one of the fragrant ones! (Newer hybrids often disappoint on fragrance) It should do fine outside for the OP.

It had fragrance when it came. Like hyacints, just better. I am in absolute love with it.

The early Zygo hybrids had great fragrance. (Actually, Z. Artur Elle has B.G. White as one of its parents) Modern breeding has tended to lose the fragrance, similar to what has happened with roses.
