The product is Kelpak, which is a biostimulant to be used in conjunction with fertilizer.

I am a total newbie but, Are your leaves green,? Do you see new growth? does it flower. If it is working why change. Many people say the best fertilizer is the cheapest. If you keep pushing for that totally sweet spot you may just surpass it and cause more bad than good. I have tried to change my formulation according to what the plants are doing and they all are doing different things LOL...It gets too crazy, I don't have the time, so I keep things as simple as general and tweak as I feel needed. Starting to believe I am wasting my time mixing them myself, but it works for me. Beside Calcium deficiency, I was very happy with Schultz. I should take my advice but what I do works for me. As for the foliar feeding I have tried it with micro nutrients at very dilute concentrations and have seen no good, only possible problems that came from it. And from various genera. But some people swear by it, It just doesnt work for me.

I doubt very much that "foliar feeding" is of any use at all on orchids, especially epiphytic ones - they have evolved a waxy cuticle on the leaves, an adaptation to prevent water loss when the sun comes out and humidity drops. So pretty much nothing is going to get into the plant from there. (That's why roots are so important... they are the only route for water and minerals to get into the plant) If fertilizer ends up on the leaves, probably at some time it'll get washed off into the medium and get into the plant through the roots as usual. Just a really inefficient way of doing it, put the nutrients in the root zone to begin with.
