Default Tolumnia in net pots with dry Leca > update

This is an update to my post " Tolumnia in net pots with dry Leca". I am very pleased on the health of the plants. They are responding very well to the method I used as the potting medium. These two photos show new fans growing on two different Tolumnias. I have 15, and the vast majority look as good as the photos. One is being stubborn, but I have patience.

As long as you can get the new roots to grow in a structure that is compatible with your culture, they'll do fine.

I agree with Ray. Went through a period of time growing them similar to that, but in a clay pot with drainage tipped sideways and leca to stabilize part of the roots. They grew very well. Glad to run across this to refresh my memory... I have one that isn't thriving mounted. No idea why. Might have to pull out a clay pot and put it in recoup mode.
