I've been growing orchids for over 25 years. I started in Miami, and now live just south of Tallahassee. I at one time had over 300 orchid plants, but have given away some and the cold weather has taken a heavy toll as well. I now have about 20 plants left. I just went out to my greenhouse and discovered a DOUBLE dendrobium blossom. I'm curious how rare or common that is. I've never had any orchid produce a double blossom before. Any information or similar experiences would be welcome.

Welcome to the Orchid Board!

Do you mean one flower, or all the flowers on a spike?

They might not be able to as their comment is their 1st post.
Its usually 5 posts before you can post a photo.
A good workaround is including a link to the photo uploaded in a photo hosting site

It is worth trying to post a photo... I have seen quite a few, I think, from new members. But the photo hosting side approach certainly works, another would be fo post the photo to one's Google Photos or One Drive, and get a "share" link that can be placed in the post.

To me, the words are almost meaningless if we can't see the plant or what they are talking about. And DianeVictor, thank you for your reply. I forgot that new members cannot attach photos. I am not sure if I agree with that rule.

None of us can change any of the rules in the software. But I do think that I have seen photos in messages from very new members.

My wife has the photos on her phone. Apparently this site won't let her post the photos. At least not yet. I'll write/comment a few more times and see if she can have success in the near future.
