This..... all the talk about banana water as a fertilizer drives me nuts. It is not a source of any significant amount of nutrients. Most of the potassium and calcium it supposedly provides actually stays in the peel, and even if it didn't you can't call it a balanced fertilizer. I used to participate in several gardening related FB groups but gave up for many reasons, and this was one. Everyone swears by it, banana water has a near god like status on social media and you shouldn't even dare think about criticizing it.
It also is associated with another pet peeve of mine; the very trendy word "hacks". Use banana water as a hack to getting amazing plants. Cutting are no longer simply a common/basic propagation method, but "a hack to get an endless supply of plants". Shaking/tapping tomato plants to improve pollination is now "a hack to massively increase your yields". It is not a hack if it is a natural plant process..... I just can't deal with social media anymore, the amount of BS and hyperbole is insane. Getting off my soapbox now.
