Psychopsis orchid (follow up on new growths leaves vs spike)
A few weeks ago I posted a question regarding some new growths on my psychopsis; specifically if they were spikes or new leaves. It has been a few more weeks and it seems at least 1 (probably 2) were leaves. The third new growth though (to me at least) still defies all logic. Everywhere I look online says that the spikes vs the new leaves are hard to tell apart in the early stages because they look so similar. This new growth looks completely different from anything that has grown on my psychopsis before and certainly looks completely different from the other new growths and I have 0 idea what it is. I have not had a psychopsis put up a flower spike before so maybe its a spike but shouldn't it have looked like the new leaves that came up with it. It is bi-lobed now so I thought maybe it could be 2 new growths (spike vs leaves) growing on top of each other instead of just 1 new growth which I originally thought it was. Any help would be much appreciated because after several weeks I am still scratching my head and it looks weirder and weirder everyday. I have attached pictures of what the plant current looks like along with the new leaves and new growth. I also attached a picture of how the new growth looked a month ago. It did not have this bi-lobed appearance a month ago and was a single structure. I am just really curious to know what this is because the growth looks completely different from the previous leaves that have grown on this orchid and it also looks completely different from a flower spike based on what I have seen from videos/pictures online.
