I need help with Bryobium pudicum Male
Default I need help with Bryobium pudicum

I attended an orchid show today and ended up with an orchid I didn't expect. I thought I was getting a bulbophyllum but someone must have placed my selection in the incorrect area. I ended up with a Bryobium pudicum. I can find virtually no information on this plant.

If anyone is familiar with it, please tell me everything you can about it.

Thanks all.....

IOSPE is a great resource. And when you find Bryobiuim pudicum (that genus is a new one for me!) it refers you to Eria pudica. Kew accepts Bryobium pudicum as the proper name, Eria pudica a synonm. Here's the Kew reference: Bryobium pudicum (Ridl.) Y.P.Ng & P.J.Cribb | Plants of the World Online | Kew Science

A neat flower! It likely does fine under Bulbophyllum conditions.

Thanks for the input. I thought I was picking up a Bulbo but with all the activity going on, I didn't pay attention and when I got home I realized what I had done. I had never heard of this plant before! I only paid $10 for it and it's blooming size, so it got potted up this morning and hopefully I can find the culture and bring it to flower. A happy accident, I guess.
