This cattleya alliance orchid likes to go dry .. so don't overwater it .. I let it go as dry as my phals .. a good week before watering or fertilizing .. (a little more often in the summer months .. as needed)
This one will scent strong with more light .. but I caution you .. introduce it to light sloooooowly and let it adapt to it before moving it again toward more .. I have put mine outside ( I grow them indoors in front of a western window) for a few hours last year when it was in bloom ( early morning or late afternoon sun since it wasn't acclimated to the midday strong rays ) and the flowers scented stronger and longer ...
Again .. introduce and move it into the light... sloooooowly ...
