checking on damaged roots

Is it ok to check some roots that were damaged before that i cut off inside the pot? I wanted to see if the new roots are growing smoothly. Just was kinda scared to take it out of the pot

If it's in a bark mix, you'll likely lose most of the medium, so may have to subject the thing to another repotting, if you pull it so soon.

I would recommend babying it and keeping a close eye on the foliage, rather than disturbing it some more. If it is recovering, you'll see growth soon enough.

I would do as Ray said. I was in your position once and when I checked on the roots I accidently damaged the new growth.
Just keep a close eye on the plant.

Let me also add, that for me, I have found new roots growing at the surface to be an indication new root tips may be forming within the bark. With most plants (not just orchids) transplanting is a shock and to reshock the plant more than annually doesn't do it any good. There may be a few exceptions, but not many.
