My oncidium sweet sugar has two spikes and one is started to open the buds, is it ok if I move it from garage to family room for display or would it affect blooming as there is bright light but not as bright as in the garage where orchid gets morning light from the east facing window.
Once the buds start opening, they will keep on going.... you can move it into your living area so you can enjoy it. Some orchids, like the larger Cattleyas, sometimes bloom better and last longer if they can finish opening in their growing area and "harden off'. But Oncidiums don't seem to care if they're moved while they're still opening.
