Hi All

I have recently bought an Angraecum Eburnam that has 6 leaves and a 7th coming through but I have noticed two dark spots on one of the leaves
The outer edges of the spots are lighter than the centres and the underneath of the leaves looks as though it’s wet but it’s not

I am growing this indoors in a cement pot with a mixture of bark, sphagnum moss and hydrokorrals.
The room is bright due to the patio doors and the temp is around 72 with a drop at night

Does anyone know what this may be as I am worried that something is wrong and I don’t want to lose it 7

My first thought is sunburn, but I'm skeptical of that in West Sussex in December. Has it been unusually sunny?

By the way, a minor typo... it's eburneum. It means "ivory."

Are you growing this under lights? If so, if too close that could produce "sunburn". I would suggest just observing... if the spot (especially the larger one) turns mushy (which would indicate a fungal or bacterial problem) the end of that leaf could be trimmed with a razor blade. But don't rush to cut anything - if it was blast of sun or heat, it will just dry up, and be no harm. So, patience and observation ...

I will also correct the title on the thread... so it will show up in searches.

was that leaf tip touching a window at any point? we have similar things happen occasionally with paphs if their leaf tips touch the window during cold winters, that's why i ask!
