Can you upload photos directly or do you have to have it on some photo site and type in the link?

Thanks I think I'm approaching the number of posts to qualify.

You already have plenty of posts... the magic number is 5.

From the "Quick Reply" dialog box, click on Go Advanced. Then, look below the dialog box to Additional Options, and click on Manage Attachments. That will generate a pop-up.
Click on Choose File to find the file on your computer. You can choose up to 10 photos per post. When you're through selecting files, click on Upload. When you Submit the post, the photos will be there.
Make sure that your browser allows popups for orchidboard.com

As noted (all over the place) sometimes photos are sideways. This seems to happen especially with phone photos that haven't been processed through a photo editor. We're all used to turning our head sideways, but processing a photo in your editor of choice, seems to straighten them out most of the time. A "feature" of the old software. We live with it...

Thanks Roberta. I'll give it a try when I think a photo is appropriate. Fred.

A lot of people use an external photo site, with links in their post, instead of using the site application because they can show higher resolution photos. The site app will reduce everything to 1024 x 768. (Those limits were probably hard-wired into the software back when disk storage was a lot more expensive) I have found the limited resolution adequate for my purposes,, but the external link is another option.

Default Test photo upload

If this worked, there would be a tolumnia (rusty red), a dendrobium (pink) and a potinara (yellow). I have their names if interested,
