Great choices! Tolumnias are really easy, they like warm breezy enviroments but be sure to not let water sit in the fans or else they rot very fast.

Hey Nat, I knew you'd love em' girl with those nice roots
As for the shade, I'm not sure? I have smoke colored panels on my GH, and also a shade that gives good shade. This is what someone else told me in a previous thread. On the strength of everything, but I'm not sure? Sounds very very high numbers? I can't believe that the poly panels are that high? And I do have the tan shade cloth still on there, but not the aluminet. I took that off for a test. And all seems ok, now. Till she's gets blasting hot down here! All these pics in this thread were taken without the aluminet on, but still with the tan cloth on.
Let me know what you think!
"Looking at the color of the leaves, it might be getting too little light as they are of a darker shade of green than normal. The polycarbonate you're using is tinted, and from what I have seen for sale, the smokey colored panels block around %75 light, in conjunction with 60% shadecloth, it very well could be insufficient light. Have you bloomed your vandas in your greenhouse?

As for the Aerangis, it needs really humid conditions and moderate light (1000-1500 foot-candles is good) should be wet every day but dry at night. Looks like something is on the leaves. They shouldn't look like that.
Tolumnias desire really bright light (full morning sun is good. Shaded mid day. They also like lots of water, but need to really dry out at night - like totally dry roots. I should add (reason for edit) these grow in tops of trees on many of the Caribbean Islands as "twig epiphytes". This means they are exposed to full sun, daily rains during the rainy season, fog during the rest of the year, constant breeze, little nutrients, and dry roots overnight. The hybrids you have are more robust, in that they are able to tolerate a wider range of conditions. But the general culture is still the same. I would not shade these too much during summer. Not full mid-day sun in Florida, but full morning and afternnon sun. Thus you might want to consider an appropriate spot outdoors under a tree with thin branches (something like a Caramboa tree - Starfruit - that seems so popular in FLA)
Nice collection.

Your Phal Schilleriania maybe 'small' now but according to ISOPE .. it is "A larger, stout, epiphytic plant" - IOSPE PHOTOS
