What are these sticky spots on phalaenopsis leaves Female
Default What are these sticky spots on phalaenopsis leaves

Hello

I just noticed sticky spots on my two phalaenopsis orchids, one has only one spot but the orchid in the photo has multiple in a single new leaf, this one is fairly new in my collection I bought it from Ecuagenera nursery near to me, I did examine before buying that, didn't notice anything.

Thanks in advance.

It looks like something was eating the leaves. There may be a secondary infection entering the punctures. If the zones don't enlarge much it will be fine. They will heal with a scar.

What are your growing conditions?

Thanks ES.

I will keep observing. So far they seem to be in the same state as yesterday. I have separated those two phals from others.

I was growing them in the walk-in greenhouse for the last two months but I moved them back home two days back, I am not sure if it was in the greenhouse or after moving in the home.

Thanks.
